Effects Rentals
Special effects rental in Utah.
CO2 jets, handheld cannons and haze. The moments people take out their phones for, and the haze that makes every lighting fixture in the room actually visible.
Effects Rentals
What you are renting
Two different jobs live in this category. CO2 is a moment: the drop, the entrance, the last song, and it exists to be filmed. Haze is infrastructure: it is what makes a beam a beam instead of a dot on the floor, and without it half of what you spent on lighting is invisible.
Both need a conversation with your venue before you book. Ask about smoke detectors and any effects restrictions early, because finding out on the day is expensive.
Before you book
How renting works
Pickup is 8am to 1pm on your event day at our Farmington warehouse, 21 minutes north of the Salt Lake City airport. Upon request we can demo the gear before you leave. Delivery, setup and an on-site technician are available as add-ons.

Picking the right kit
How to size it
CO2 jets
Mounted on stage or truss, triggered on cue. Best on a drop or an entrance, once or twice a night.
Handheld cannons
Operated by the performer or the DJ. More spontaneous, less setup.
Haze
Run it low and continuously rather than in bursts. You want atmosphere, not a fog bank.
Venue clearance
Confirm smoke detector isolation and any effects policy before the event. Some venues need notice in writing.
Questions we get every week
Do I need to clear special effects with my venue?
Yes, always, and early. Haze can trip smoke detectors that need isolating in advance, and many venues have written policies on CO2. It is a short conversation that prevents an expensive problem.
What is the difference between haze and fog?
Haze is a fine, even atmosphere that hangs in the air so light beams become visible. Fog is thicker and sits lower, and it reads as an effect in itself. For lighting, you almost always want haze.
Do I need haze if I am renting moving heads?
If you want to see the beams, yes. Without something in the air, a moving head just puts a moving dot on the floor and most of the effect is lost.
How much does it cost to rent CO2 jets in Utah?
Rates are published on each item above. CO2 tanks are a separate consumable and we will tell you how many the run of show needs.
Can you run the effects for us?
Yes. Effects are usually better with an operator on a cue, and we can provide a technician as an add-on quoted by distance.
