What you are renting
Lighting is the cheapest thing on this site that changes how a room feels. A dozen uplights around a beige ballroom does more for photographs than anything else you can rent for the money.
Battery and wireless DMX fixtures matter more in Utah than people expect, because a lot of the venues worth booking are historic buildings, tents, or outdoor sites where running cable to the walls is either ugly or not permitted.
Before you book
How renting works
Pickup is 8am to 1pm on your event day at our Farmington warehouse, 21 minutes north of the Salt Lake City airport. Upon request we can demo the gear before you leave. Delivery, setup and an on-site technician are available as add-ons.
Event lighting rental in Utah: every item and rate
Tap add on anything you want, set the quantity, then send the whole list at once from the bar at the bottom of the screen. Overnight is a 24-hour period. Weekend is Friday pickup, Monday morning return, and cables are included either way.

Picking the right kit
How to size it
Uplighting a room
Roughly one fixture every 8 to 10 feet around the perimeter. A standard ballroom is usually 12 to 20.
Dance floors
Moving heads on the corners or a truss totem on each side. Movement is what reads as a party.
Outdoor and historic venues
Battery and wireless DMX fixtures, so there is no cable run and nothing to trip over.
Haze
Beams are invisible without it. If you are renting moving heads for the look, budget for a hazer too.

How much does it cost to rent uplighting in Utah?
Uplights start at $40 a night, and our DIY bag of four is priced as a set. Every fixture above has a published rate, so a room's worth of uplighting is straightforward to total up yourself.
How many uplights do I need?
Plan for roughly one fixture every 8 to 10 feet around the perimeter of the room. A typical hotel ballroom takes 12 to 20. Send us the room dimensions and we will give you a number.
Do you rent battery powered lights?
Yes. Battery and wireless DMX fixtures are in stock, which is what you want for historic venues, tents, and outdoor sites where you cannot run power to the walls.
Do I need a hazer for moving lights?
If you want to see the beams, yes. Without haze in the air a moving head just puts a dot on the floor. Check with your venue first, since some have smoke detectors that need isolating.
Can you install the lighting instead?
Yes. We design and install lighting with our own crew, which is what most ballroom and concert jobs end up being. That is on our event lighting page.
